Your responsibilities

  • Act as Proposal and Project Manager within the Business Unit Launchers in Switzerland, during Acquisition, Development and/or Production phases
  • Develop project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resources, costs, and timelines. Collaborate with customers to define project requirements and objectives
  • Lead project teams to execute plans efficiently, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and within budget. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, motivating and guiding team members to achieve their best performance
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Negotiate and manage project budgets, allocating resources effectively to optimize project outcomes
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards on time and on costs
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule, and objectives. Assess the impact of changes and communicate adjustments to the customers, project team and stakeholders
  • Prepare project status reports, documenting project progress, achievements, risks, and issues. Actively manage deviations and closure of gaps
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project management methodologies within the organization

Your profile

  • Technical background with engineering degree in Aerospace or in a relevant field
  • 5 years of proven experience in international Project Management in Aerospace/Defense industry, successfully delivering projects from initiation to completion, during Acquisition or Execution phase
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing project requirements, utilize agile methods and thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges and implement effective and pro-active solutions
  • Proven experience in negotiation of contracts in an international environment
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, solution driven, willing to make a difference, commercial mindset
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional and technical teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with teams, stakeholders, and customers. C1-C2 English, other languages are an advantage
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
  • Familiarity with Aerospace business to understand project requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Project Management certification is preferred
