Senior Infrastructure Engineer

What is the role?

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure automation and cloud technologies to join our Analytics Infrastructure Platform team. Our Analytics Team’s mission is to develop, support, and deploy natural catastrophe solutions using data obtained from our constellation of radar satellites. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing scalable infrastructure and developer experience solutions to support our growing platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with dev teams to ensure a fast, safe and secure path to production. Improving developer satisfaction is our main goal!
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS.
Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for application deployment and orchestration.
Design and develop as a self-service consumable infrastructure and developer experience platform components.
Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, security, and cost.

Requirements

What you need to succeed:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related roles.
Proven hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services, particularly within AWS.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
Hands-on experience on managing client-facing production environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication (English), collaboration and team-working skills.
In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills:
Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD.
Knowledge of GitHub Actions usage and management.
Being familiar with service mesh solutions like Istio.
Knowledge of infrastructure code automation services as Atlantis, Terraform Cloud.
Up to date on latest trends and research on developer productivity.
