This is what you can do
As an Expert System Safety Engineer for Avionics, Electrical & Autopilot, you will:
- Independently perform all Aircraft/System-level Safety analyses;
- Take Technical Responsibility for System level Safety analyses across the Safety V cycle;
- Develop & update applicable Safety Processes and Procedures;
- Align with the Systems Design and Installation team regarding the applicable safety requirements;
- Proactively identify Safety certification gaps/issues and work toward their resolution;
- Work with suppliers to achieve the target Safety levels;
- Support various Common Cause Analyses (CCA), including Particular Risk Analysis (PRA) and Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA);
- Manage the Validation and Verification of Safety Requirements.
You’ll bring this with you
- Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar;
- 10+ years of experience in Aircraft/System Safety at major OEMs or consulting in this field;
- Experience in Safety Processes covering AFHA, SFHA, PSSA, CMA, SSA, FMEA, and Reliability Prediction of Complex Systems;
- Hands-on experience in Safety tools like Reliability Workbench, CAFTA, or equivalent FTA software;
- Good knowledge of Avionics, Electrical, & Auto Pilot domains;
- Familiarity with SAE ARP4754B and ARP4761A standards;
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills as an autonomous worker and a good communicator;
- Excellent written and oral knowledge of English. German is a plus.
