As Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer, you will be involved in the definition, installation and calibration of the data recording system flight test activities (experimental, development and certification) of conventional and unconventional aircraft.
Working directly with Flight Test Engineers and reporting directly to the Head of Flight Test you will be responsible to perform and lead activities to support flight test programmes in a timely manner and to the highest technical standards.
What will your main scope be?
- Conceptual and detailed design of various FTI components;
- Propose & implement instrumentation solutions for flight tests on the test aircraft;
- Collaborate with different engineering teams how to incorporate large and complex system in the flight test vehicle;
- Calibration and storage of flight test instrumentation according to the company handbook;
- Management of software for data processing;
- Development of software for telemetry decumulation and display;
- Providing the documentation, technical implementation, and configuration for telemetry systems;
- Participating in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables;
- Development and maintenance of flight test data analysis tools.
What do we expect from the candidate?
- University degree in Engineering at B.Sc. level or higher, preferably aerospace;
- Relevant previous work experience in the aerospace sector;
- Sound knowledge of measuring systems;
- You are able and enjoy working under tight and dynamic schedules;
- You are able to travel for work to support flight test campaigns away from the company’s headquarters;
- You have good oral and written communication skills and are fluent in English;
- Experience with EASA regulatory framework and aircraft certification specification is a plus.
