Your Mission
Systems Engineering competency
- Challenge test requirements, align on test approach and define test scope with customer.
- Lead and coordinates technical activities with the objective of meeting test requirements within the given budget and agreed schedule.
- Lead and coordinates technical proposals, quotations, concept work and trade studies related to testing activities.
- Support processes and product continuous improvements. Propose market-oriented initiatives to improve existing technologies and testing processes.
- Break down the technical requirements to subsystems generating testing specifications for customer, supplier and subcontractors. Tracks the requirements compliance status.
- Plan technical testing work packages, e.g. through the Design Development and Verification Plan.
- Write and review technical documentation (e.g. Test plan, analysis reports…), project related deliverables and other specifications related to his field of work. Adapt to the product- and mission-specific requirements.
- Perform technical risk management and perform Root Cause Analysis.
- Provide engineering support to production.
- Evaluate and ensure meeting the verification/qualification success criteria. Justify towards the customer.
- Represent engineering field during negotiations and reviews with customers and suppliers or subcontractors. Act as test engineering point of contact for customers.
Analysis competency
- Conduct complex analysis tasks without supervision within Testing:
- Define analysis approaches to investigate mechanical design problems or verify solutions.
- Establish analysis methods and create mathematical models for static and dynamic FE analysis.
- Perform static and dynamic analysis.
- Perform test predictions, test evaluations and correlations.
- Perform detailed stress and strength verification analysis.
- Support with expertise from testing during product development, production support, innovation, and project.
- Perform technical analysis with the objective of achieving confidence regarding the achievability of given testing requirements with the available testing equipment and facilities.
- Prepare test predictions regarding stress, strains and deformation as a basis for the definition of the acceptable load introduction and direction; define expected margins of safety.
