Being a space instrument project manager in the domain of laser/quantum optics at SpaceTech, you are responsible for performance, schedule, financial budget, and quality of a two- to three-digit Million Euro Project with a space agency as customer.
Your tasks
- Responsibility for performance, schedule, financial budget, and quality of a two- to three-digit Million Euro Project with a space agency as customer
- Be an active and integral part of the engineering team; dedicated expertise in at least one engineering discipline.
- Management of a diverse project team of highly skilled experts from different space engineering and physics fields
- End-to-end responsibility for technical management and procurement
- Interface with institutional customer and subsystem /component suppliers
- Creation of a framework and atmosphere which allows efficient, team-oriented and customer focused project execution
Your skills and experience
- Experience in space project management with institutional customers
- Knowledge of all aspects of space project life cycle from design development and procurement to AIT
- Knowledge of European Space Standards (ECSS)
- Background in Space Engineering, Space Instrument, Physics or similar
- Multiple years of engineering experience in space project development and execution
- Knowledge of industrial cost and schedule structures
- Experience in risk management of complex systems
- Strong drive to deliver projects on cost, on time and on quality
- Behavioral skills including result orientation, operational efficiency, fostering Teamgeist, continuous improvement, persistence, forward thinking
