The Role
AIRMO is seeking a Satellite image data analyst to join our mission of providing precise data on emissions measurement. This role involves processing and analyzing satellite imagery and developing machine learning models for the identification and quantification of GHG emissions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and computer vision, with experience in data processing and programming. Experience in geospatial and remote sensing is a plus.
Your responsibilities in AIRMO
- Develop and implement machine learning and deep learning models for satellite imagery analysis for GHG emission identification;
- Develop algorithms for GHG emissions quantification;
- Work with software engineers to build robust data pipelines and visualize model results;
- Collaborate with the product team to create products that enhance climate risk management across various industries.
What you should bring to AIRMO
- Degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field;
- Expertise in machine learning and deep learning algorithms;
- Strong background in computer vision;
- Experience in processing and analyzing satellite imagery;
- Familiarity with remote sensing and GIS software is a plus;
- Experience with image classification and anomaly detection;
- Proficiency in programming languages;
- Knowledge of atmospheric modeling tools is a plus.
Requirements
The minimum requirements for applicants include:
- Degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field;
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in machine learning and computer vision;
- Strong understanding of data processing and analysis;
- Fluency in English.
