Senior Telecommunications Payload Architect
ReOrbit
Helsinki, Finland
The Senior Telecommunications Payload Architect will mainly be focusing on one type of project at ReOrbit, Small Satcom. We are looking at providing the same capabilities of a traditional GEO communications satellite in a smaller, more affordable, quicker to space offering.
This person will join a team of experienced experts who are all contributing to the evolution of Small Satcom. They will work in the end to end system, across the full project life-cycle from development and design through to AIT.
The end objective of Small Satcom is to enable communications, so this role is really important to the success of the projects. Therefore we are looking for someone with extensive experience in radio frequency and optical engineering (digital capabilities would be a big plus), working at both board and system level on communications payloads. As this project will be in GEO the individual must have previously worked on projects in this environment.

- Architectural design of communication payloads including RF and Optical;
- Budgeting and maintaining the main parameters of each payload (Mass, consumption Dissipation and all relevant performance parameters);
- Manage and interface with the team members responsible for the other satellite subsystems;
- Define and analyse different components of the telecom payload, from passive units, RF active units to digital and optical components;
