Embedded Software Engineer

Qascom is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer within the Aerospace & Defence domain, based in our office in Bassano del Grappa (VI).

The resource will be involved in the development of the new generation of Qascom GNSS/PNT receivers’ products for space and professional markets, including position and navigation technologies for drones, satellites and railways in the domains of GNSS receivers, signal and navigation processing.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in software, telecommunications or electronics engineering
Experience as software developer (2 years min)
Experience on embedded devices (1 year min)
Experience with testing frameworks (i.e: GTest, Catch2, Boost.Test, Unity) and TDD
Knowledge of real time operating systems (i.e: FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, RTEMS)
Knowledge of C and Modern C++
Good knowledge of written and spoken English

Responsibilities:

Design, development and test of real-time software in C++
Development of drivers and Hardware abstraction layers for new GNSS receiver products
Support in the adoption of software safety, security standards, tools and programming frameworks for Space, Rail, Aviation
Contribution in the maintenance and streamline of GNSS receiver software repositories, including the adoption of continuous integration approaches
Preparation of Technical documentation, and software configuration
Technical management of software evolutions for GNSS receiver products
Interactions with customers and partners
