System Engineer

In this role You will be a part of the core project team ensuring technical alignment within multidisciplinary engineering team and customer by controlling the technical requirements and the scope of work. In this role you will also perform system level design and manage requirements implementation, verification and validation throughout all project phases.
As System Engineer, you will:
- Act as the principal technical authority of multidisciplinary engineering team, providing expert guidance across all phases of the project lifecycle;
- Ensure that top level system design are in-line with detailed design throughout the project – and resolve conflicts between top level and detailed design;
- Coordinate with core project team on schedule of Milestone Reviews and Internal/External delivery dates;
- Ensure that technical documentation delivered by other teams are technically aligned with requirements and top-level design;
- Lead the in-person/online Design Milestone Reviews and moderate the technical discussion with shareholders;
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, stakeholders, and project teams to coordinate efforts and address technical challenges;
- Manage spacy system project requirements;
- Be accountable for technical trade-offs – studies to drive design decisions;
- Control and estimates Technical Budgets (Mass, Power, Data, Link, Delta-V, Energy);
- Coordinate with Launch Authority and prepares relevant documentation.
We expect you to have:
- Strong critical and analytical thinking capability – behind every requirement you know What you require and Why;
- Technical background (e.g.) Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or related field – because a strong background makes for a quick start;
- Fundamental understanding of physical principles and how they apply to real–world problems – because knowledge must be applied to bring the result;
- Strong sense of ownership – because behind every successful space mission there is someone who cares;
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team – because making your own deliverables is not enough to succeed;
- Work experience with multiple engineering disciplines; mechanical, electrical, RF, control systems, etc. – because you will have to tie them all together;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are required – because quite a bit of talking ant chatting involved;
- Experience with Requirement Management systems would be an advantage – because You will have to manage requirements after all;
- Knowledge and experience with MBSE would be an advantage – because it’s cool;
- You may need to travel occasionally to visit us or our customers;
- You DO NOT BELIEVE in the FLAT Earth – otherwise it may be difficult to explain the flight dynamics.
