Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated System Engineer Team Leader to lead our propulsion systems engineering team. This position is instrumental in developing cutting-edge satellite propulsion systems, ensuring they meet product requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of system engineers working on both internal development projects and external customer projects.

Attached to the Technology team, you will be responsible for

Team Management: manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning; assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones; perform regular one-to-one meetings and proactively manage their career path.
System engineering tools and processes: put in place and regularly update tools, processes and templates, while educating the team to their use.
System culture: foster a system engineering mindset within the organization.
Documentation and reporting: be the accountant of the deliverables produced by the system engineering team, including yourself.
Identify technical improvements: actively participates to the definition of product technical specification, by ensure a close collaboration with the Product and technical teams.
Standards: ensure the products comply to standards and technical documentation provided by launchers and/or customers.
Provide technical support: provide technical support to the project teams, contributing into analysis and investigations.

Skills and abilities

A minimum experience of 10 years is required for this position.
Typically, the candidate worked on space projects and developments.
Knowledge of embedded software and communication protocol (SPI, R485, CAN).
Good communication skills in English, written and spoken.
Autonomous, rigorous, and detailed oriented.
Diplomatic, a good communicator and responsive.
Curious, proactive in your activities and a source of proposals on the subjects which you are responsible of.
Motivated, able to adapt quickly within a young and very ambitious team, and you have shown a real interest in the field of space.
Pragmatism, risk-taking and accountable.
Willingness to join the dynamic, vibrant, demanding environment of a start-up.
