Mission

As an Aircraft Configuration Engineer within the Maintenance Program section of the Engineering Department, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining aircraft configurations. You will be responsible for implementing Aircraft Configuration Management in AMOS, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Additionally, you will continuously monitor and update aircraft configurations to maintain operational efficiency and regulatory adherence.

Tasks

  • Work collaboratively within a team, focusing on aircraft configuration management.
  • Set up the initial aircraft configuration management for the fleet and individual aircraft.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate aircraft configurations in AMOS.
  • Ensure data quality of aircraft parts in AMOS and update as needed.
  • Create and verify new parts in AMOS, ensuring correct follow-up of procedures and processes.
  • Implement data for new parts in daily maintenance operations.
  • Integrate new parts data during aircraft phase-in based on delivered documentation.
  • Support aircraft phase-in projects to ensure accurate aircraft configuration.
  • Assist with receiving complex assemblies (e.g., Engines, APU, Landing Gears) in AMOS.
  • Support engineers in identifying and correcting discrepancies in aircraft configuration management.
  • Initiate corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities identified through reviews or audits.
  • Define and establish procedures and instructions for aircraft configuration management processes.
  • Coordinate with all Responsible System Engineers to incorporate and properly track aircraft modifications.
  • Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and Lufthansa Group airline engineers within your domain.
  • Provide on-the-job training to colleagues for proper use and follow-up of the aircraft management system.
  • Participate in the AOG service, offering 24/7 P145 support.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interest in aviation.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part-M, Part-CAMO, and Part-145 regulations.
  • Understanding of aircraft systems and component handling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an organized manner (project management experience is a plus).
  • Strong analytical skills with a critical approach to problem-solving and studies.
  • Structured and detail-oriented in administrative tasks and follow-ups.
  • Solid technical knowledge combined with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility to support flight operations.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of collaboration.
  • Results-driven and motivated by achieving objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills (Dutch and/or French is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with MRO software AMOS is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel abroad.
