The Director of Aircraft Configuration and Technical is responsible for leading the functional teams of Flight Physics, Safety, Reliability & Maintainability and Propulsion to support the D328eco development, in-service aircraft and R&T activities. The responsibility is to ensure successful definition and execution of the plans to required quality, schedule and costs through building up necessary competences and resources.This includes the methods, processes and tools required to execute the activities along the product life cycle from early Research and concepts phases, programme development and continuous product support.

  • Ramp up the required Flight Physics, Safety, Reliability & Maintainability and Propulsion competences and capabilities according defined deliverables and agreed head count;
  • Leading disciplinary of Flight Physics, Safety, Reliability & Maintainability and Propulsion engineering with departments and teams including competence management and training concept;
  • Implement programme and projects requirements into a resource planning including core and non-core activities and viable sub-contracting policy;
  • Ensures adequate technical, process and procedure training and expertise of the engineering team;
  • Implement and support company strategy with proper positioning of the Flight Physics, Safety, Reliability & Maintainability and Propulsion engineering according future needs and trends.

You’ll bring this with you

  • Educated Engineering degree (BA Eng/Sc, MA Eng/Sc) in aeronautics/aviation or mechanical;
  • > 15 years professional experience in relevant fields of aircraft development and product requirements;
  • Wide proficiency of aircraft requirements, design criterion, materials and methods and tools;
  • Technical knowledge in areas of Flight Physics, Safety, Reliability & Maintainability and Propulsion System;
  • New product development experience at least of one new aircraft programme (prior experience on Part 25 Aircraft is an asset);
  • Strong communication and leadership skills;
  • Strong Team Player and ability to integrate with teams;
  • Ability to prioritise, manage and execute multiple simultaneous tasks;
  • Solution oriented;
  • Assertive, pro-active, innovative and creative.
