Job Description
OHB LuxSpace is looking for motivated candidates to join for an exciting opportunity as: Software Engineer (m/f/o) - Embedded SW Development - Space Industry Luxembourg. Being a member of a multinational team of dedicated engineers, the Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of embedded software for space systems and satellites in its overall life cycle through agile project execution.
Typical Tasks include:
- Software specification, design, implementation and testing;
- Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies;
- Support Software-Quality activities;
- Interact with internal peers;
- Other tasks and duties assigned by manager(s);
- Temporarily or permanently performing other reasonable and equivalent duties.
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) or equivalent education plus relevant proven work experience;
- 3+ years of work experience in industry or relevant professional environment (space, aeronautics, automotive etc.);
- Profound experience in embedded software development and understanding of electronics;
- Excellent knowledge and work experience in C programming language;
- Experience with embedded RTOS (e.g. VxWorks, RTEMS, QNX, freeRTOS, uCOS);
- Experience in embedded software development;
- Experience in software development for critical/safety systems;
- Knowledge of modelling standards (such as UML, SysML) and related tools;
- Knowledge of other object-oriented programming languages (such as C++, Java) will be considered an asset;
- Ability to design efficient low-level software drivers (low memory footprint, code size optimized, low CPU overhead);
- Ability to debug software with debuggers;
- Proficient use of lab tools like Oscilloscope, waveform generator, power supply, and other measurement equipment’s (multi meters, etc.);
- Good communication capabilities, analytical sense, priority setting;
- Methodical work-approach, results-oriented;
- Self-motivated; taking responsibility and being proactive;
- Hands-on mentality and experience;
- Ability to work and interface with a multinational team;
- Willingness and ability to work flexible in line with project needs and schedules;
- Willingness and ability to travel for business when needed from time to time;
- Languages: Good English language skills (spoken and written), German and/or French knowledge considered an asset;
- EU citizenship or work permission Luxembourg.
