What will you do in this role?
Lead and inspire
- Manage and mentor a team of systems engineers and cross-functional experts to design, develop, and verify cutting-edge SAR spacecraft;
- Mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Drive technical excellence
- Analyze, model, and optimize the performance of integrated SAR satellite systems, both on the ground and in space;
- Perform mission analysis and develop concepts of operations (CONOPS) to support system design;
- Lead initiatives to enhance reliability, scalability, and performance for on-orbit operations.
Ensure mission success
- Support customers and program management with mission analysis, system documentation and on-orbit validation and verification;
- Support launch, early operations and commissioning activities, ensuring successful deployment and operation of the spacecraft.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in spacecraft systems engineering or related field;
- Proven track record of leading a team of 3 to 8 R&D engineers directly reporting to you;
- Hands-on experience with satellite systems, RF systems, or remote sensing technologies from concept to operation.
Skills
- Strong understanding of spacecraft systems, and subsystems (e.g., power, thermal, avionics, propulsion);
- Experience in systems engineering processes, requirements management, and verification methodologies;
- Proficient in tools such as Python and STK;
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills;
- Understanding SAR principles would be a plus
