What will you be doing?
You will be leading the process, planning and resource management of the team. You will also be both designing and building software, taking it through the full SDLC, as well as leading and managing the flight software team with a focus on engagement and motivation to enable team productivity.
This is a great role for anyone who wants to take a step into management whilst still keeping a hand on the techy side!
What you need to be successful
- You’ll be responsible for a team of software and FPGA engineers so be ready to motivate and develop them through their careers
- We work with both agile and V-model so applied knowledge of these are essential!
- Demonstrable ability to lead and develop the Flight Software team.
As we said, this is still a techy role so you’ll need:
- Ability to programme in C and rust languages
- Knowledge of Linux and Kernel architectures
- Knowledge of electronics design elements (SPI, I2C, CAN bus, Ethernet, Spacewire, PCB Design)
