About this Job
UARX Space is recruiting an experienced Electronics Engineer to work in our headquarters located in Nigrán, Spain. Your job will be dedicated to the development of electronic products for its use in our in-space transportation missions.
As a part of your daily job you will analyze, design, recommend, produce, and test electronic circuits to be used in the projects currently in development by UARX Space. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team looking for the most innovative flight hardware, spending a good amount of time in the laboratory, designing innovative circuits, and developing embedded systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, analysis, production, and verification of new electronic circuits for its use in space applications;
- Plan, schedule, and budget accordingly the design and development process;
- Research and development of new and innovative electronic systems;
- Write embedded software for the products developed;
- Design FPGA based electronic using VHDL;
- Help with the design and production of electronic ground support equipments (EGSEs);
- Act as the electronics technical responsible, maintaining interfaces with other teams of the Company through the participation of progress meetings and reviews;
- Prepare FPGA test-benches for functional validation and electrical characterization, using necessary lab equipment.
Profile
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in developing electronic circuits using FPGAs of several vendors such as Xilinx, Microchip/Microsemi (former ACTEL), NanoXplore, Altera, and/or Atmel;
- Being familiar with the space application of microelectronics;
- Experience using third party IP (Intellectual Property) cores in VHDL;
- Experience with microprocessors (e.g. LEON3, ARM) and HW-SW co-design;
- Experience with the tailoring and implementation of ECSS quality standards;
- Experience with mitigation of radiation effects of FPGAs;
- Experience with PCB design tools (e.g. Altium Designer, DipTrace), impedance matching (e.g. microstrip, stripline), signal propagation delay, parasitics definition, crosstalk minimisation;
- Understanding of fault-tolerant designs;
- Fluent in English.
