To support our Company’s growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer that will be part of our AIT & Design Unit and will be responsible for the design and configuration of small satellite platforms as well as subsystem development. DUTIES
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical design and structural analysis simulations, collaborating with a team of passionate and skilled engineers to develop new products.
The activities will include (but are not limited to):
- Satellite configuration and mechanical design.
- 3D modelling and FEM analysis of satellite systems and subsystems.
- Supporting AIT, AIV, acceptance, and qualification campaigns.
- Preparation of technical documentation (including design and analysis reports, test specifications and procedures, test reports, and technical drawings).
- Preparation of assembly and integration procedures.
- Support for environmental testing activities.
- Risk assessment and FMEA support.
- Prototyping and manufacturing (3D printing, CNC).
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Professional experience in CAD design and analysis of space hardware.
- Knowledge of ECSS Standards.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & SKILLS
- Previous experience in aerospace/space industry projects.
- Professional knowledge of SolidWorks and Femap/Nastran.
- Design knowledge of Structure Subsystem architecture for a satellite platform.
- Proficiency in FEM analyses and structural calculations.
- Understanding of structural dynamics (e.g., launch environment).
- Experience with space environment design practices.
- Previous experience in using laboratory tools and equipment for manual integration and testing of space hardware.
- Ability to work under tight schedules and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
- Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.
- Knowledge of MIL/Space Standards.
- Understanding technical drawing standards.
- Proactive and curious mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
